You are invited to join a small gathering of leaders, researchers, advocates, investors, and institutional partners for the founding of the IKONI Institute and the release of the Washington Declaration on Black Women’s Labor.

Drawing from IKONI’s Global State of Black Women’s Labor research across the United States, United Kingdom, Africa, the Caribbean, and the wider diaspora, the afternoon will move beyond documenting the conditions Black women face to considering what institutions, funders, employers, and policymakers must do next.

Guests will receive an early presentation of emerging global findings, participate in an intimate salon conversation, and witness the introduction of the Washington Declaration on Black Women’s Labor— a statement of principles and commitments intended to help shape the next chapter of work, investment, research, and institutional accountability concerning Black women’s labor globally.
